A 16-year-old girl presents to urgent care on Monday afternoon, worried about pregnancy after having consensual intercourse with her boyfriend on Friday afternoon. They did not use a condom. She was prescribed a combined oral contraceptive by her pediatrician 3 months ago but has found it hard to remember to take the pills regularly. In the last week, she has missed 4 pills.

She identifies as female and is interested in males. She has had one 16-year-old male partner since coitarche 6 months ago. They use condoms inconsistently as neither of them feels comfortable buying them at a pharmacy.
