An eight-year-old female presents with her grandfather with the complaint of vulvar and perirectal itching. The patient states that for the last year, she has had intermittent vulvar itching, which she scratches without relief. Her pediatrician gave her a topical cream to treat a yeast infection, which she used, also without relief. She denies rashes elsewhere on her body. She has a history of Crohn’s disease but denies any recent flares.
