HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS:

You are called to the emergency department to evaluate a 12-year-old female who presents with a two day history of severe pelvic pain. She describes the pain as 9/10, cramping, and constant and states it radiates to her lower back. She reports mild constipation but no nausea, vomiting, chest pain, fever, chills, or urinary complaints.
