An 18-year-old sexually active white female presents for evaluation complaining of “pain in her ovary” for the last 6 months.  She states the pain is constant and stabbing in nature, present most of the time and rates it 8 out of 10 at its worst.   She tried Motrin and Naprosyn but it didn’t relieve her pain so stopped taking them.  Sleeping on her left side provides some relief, but nothing is able to completely relieve the pain. She denies any association with bowel movements.  She does complain of some brown discharge on and off for about 2-3 months. She previously complained of blood in the urine, and was seen by urology where a renal US was ordered.
